Could Billy Goat Overseeders Improve Your Lawn?

os901_534x575Can Billy Goat overseeders improve your lawn?

Yes!

How? The answer to that is a little more complicated: there are several benefits to overseeding, but getting the most out of this process requires the right timing and preparation.

What is Overseeding?

When you think of seeding, you probably think of getting grass to grow over bare patches of turf to create a uniform lawn. However, if that’s all the seeding you do, your lawn will thin out as the grass matures and more successful plants take over more space. Continue reading

How to Find Your Billy Goat Serial or Model Number

If you’re looking for parts for your Billy Goat equipment, you’ll need to know the serial number. Where can you find it? This guide will help you find the serial number plate, which could be located in a number of places on your lawn care device.

Why Do I Need the Serial Number?

Billy Goat requires the serial number when making warranty claims. When you buy a new piece of equipment, you’ll need to fill this information in on the warranty card before mailing it in.

Serial numbers are also needed when ordering parts. Billy Goat makes equipment models for years at a time, but that doesn’t mean they’re all identical. During the production lifetime, they make constant improvements to ensure quality. By identifying your equipment with the serial number, you can be sure you’re getting parts that will fit with your specific version.

Where Can I Find my Billy Goat’s Serial Number?

Billy Goat puts the serial number, model number and other production information on a plate mounted somewhere on your equipment. Since they build a wide range of products, the location of this plate can’t be standard across their lineup.

“Left” and “Right” are determined by the operator position. In most cases, you can stand at the controls and look down at the frame or engine base to see the serial number plate.

Which Model Do I have?

Detailed model information is on the serial plate, but you need some idea which model you have to find said plate. Billy Goat puts large stickers on their equipment stating the model, either on the front or side of the device. Sometimes these stickers will specify the model, like the KV Series vacuum, while other times it will have the product name, like the Outback. In the list below, we’ve included both names for quick identification.
